Please remember that all the community members of CAAOC are giving up their free time and are not being paid for any work done. To ensure our objection has maximum impact we have secured the services of a planning consultant, to help us with our campaign and reports, and despite the fact that he is working for a considerably reduced fee this is the main cost currently incurred by CAAOC. We are therefore grateful for any donations.

Send cheques payable to CAAOC to: CAAOC, c/o Dougie McKenzie, 25 Hadfast Road, Cousland, EH22 2NZ.

Thanks to everyone who has donated so far – any donation, however small, is gratefully received.

We are delighted to announce that, despite having to cancel or curtail a number of fundraisers due to the severe weather conditions before Christmas, we have reached our fundraising target in record time. This was due to a combination of £2,200 raised from the whisky tasting and Limited Editions raffle and a number of very generous donations from private individuals and community groups such as Conserving Rural Pencaitland.  Many thanks to all….means we start 2011 having paid all the bills and with a small surplus. We will consider what to do with that after 19th January which is the deadline for Scottish Coal to appeal the planning refusal. Cross everything!
